Description

WHAT IS IT FOR?

The BT Lux brace is designed to limit overall abduction of the shoulders of your 4-legged friend. It can be used for minor issues (like inflammation) and for shoulder diseases that require limiting abduction and movement of the joint. It can also be used as a post-operative device to promote gradual rehabilitation of the joint.
It is helpful for:

  • instability of the shoulder joint;
  • dysplasia;
  • joint laxity or hypermobility;
  • dislocation;
  • inflammation.

Support is provided by stiff material inside the brace at shoulder height to increase compression and limit movement of the joints.

ADVANTAGES

BT Lux works with your dog to gradually regain motor function. The comfortable padding combines practicality, convenience and optimal stabilization.

FEATURES
  • The brace simultaneously compresses both shoulders.
  • Breathable fabric.
  • Adjusts for a better fit.
  • Can be hand-washed.

HOW TO WEAR

To apply correctly: open the brace at the elbows, open the front and lower Velcro straps and place the brace on the withers of the dog.

Close the straps around the elbows.

Tightly close the front straps below the dog’s throat.

Now close the lower strap located behind the feet.

The upper straps must be very tightly closed so that the rigid surfaces of the brace correctly compress the shoulders.

Straps at the level of the elbows. If necessary, especially in the post-operative phase and in case of serious pathologies, movement of the front joints can be even further limited by bringing the two elbows closer together, using the internal straps that join them. The safety straps can be closed on themselves if it is unnecessary to bring both elbows together.

Each strap can be adjusted in length depending on the size of your dog. To shorten them it is best to take the end of each strap, detach the Velcro clip, shorten the strap by cutting excess material and then newly applying the Velcro clip.

WHITE BAND KIT
The blue band limits the dog’s movements in the post-operative period. The white band is stretch and helps the dog’s front joints when walking during rehabilitation.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

<ulclass=”list”>

  • During the period of restraint, it is recommended that the dog not be left alone very long because it could try to remove the brace by biting
    or scratching it.
  • The length of all of the straps and closures can be adjusted for a better, tighter fit to the dog (see figure 7).
  • Do not leave the brace on for an extended period of time: the brace must be worn during the day, especially during physical activity, and it should be removed at night.
